Kenya Electricity Generating Company limited (KenGen) is the leading electric power producer in Kenya.
In the recent past, the company has embarked on a transformation program with a view to accelerating the expansion of its generation capacity and stabilizing the power situation in the country.
In order to sustain this process, KenGen is seeking to recruit professionals who are team players to fill the following management positions.
1. Corporate Finance Manager (Ref/HRA/F&C/01/2010)
Reporting to Finance and Commercial Director the ideal candidate will lead corporate finance section within finance and commercial division including treasury, projects finance, Funding and taxation.
Qualification:
* Suitable candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA(K) or Equivalent, good skills in Financial Management, Treasury Management,
* Experience: Minimum Eight (8) years Experience in Corporate finance, Treasury (Preferably in Banking) Project finance
* Those with MBA (Finance) will have an added advantage.
2. Chief Accountant – Projects Finance Ref: HRA/F&C/02/2010 – 1 Post)
Reporting to Corporate finance Manager, ideal candidate will lead project finance function for new and ongoing projects paying particular attention to project cost control, financial viability, compliance with payment terms, managing financial requirements of the project so that projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
Suitable candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA(K) with good skills in Financial Management and Project Finance. Those with MBA (Finance) will have an added advantage.
3. Chief Accountant – Taxation (Ref: HRA/F&C/03/2010 – 1 Post)
Reporting to Corporate Finance Manager.
Ideal candidate will be the Tax Expert. He/ she will identify and implement tax requirements for statutory compliance, tax planning, Liaison with Tax Authorities and any other activities aimed at reducing tax cost and improves profitability.
Qualification: Suitable candidate will possess Bachelors degree in Accounting and CPA (K) with good analytical and negotiation skills,
Experience: minimum 5 years relevant experience preferable with Tax Authority or Tax Consultant.
