Job Title: Financial Accountant
Reporting/Accountable to: Chief Accountant
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for Compliance matters, providing timely & accurate reports for prompt management reporting and assisting the Chief Accountant achieve the departmental and the Company’s strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Expenses Schedule & Analysis
•Cost Based Reporting
•Expenses reconciliations to the GL
Monthly Staff accounts analysis & Statements
Statutory Compliance with the respective authorities
•Kenya Revenue Authority
•Insurance Regulatory Authority
Preparation of management accounts
•Monthly, Quarterly and year end results
•Adhoc reports
Production of a clean Trial Balance and supporting schedules
Management of Fixed Assets & Analysis
•Fixed Assets Schedule & update
•Depreciation Computation
Assisting in Group Consolidation accounts
Checking payments and banking
Assisting in payments & receipting process
Involved in Annual Budget preparation
Involved in Final Accounts Preparations
•Financial Statements
•Commissioners Forms Preparation
Coordinating the external and Internal Audits
Other Duties but not limited to;
•Company Compliance Certificate Application
•Assisting in Board Meeting Preparation
General Finance Correspondence
Knowledge & Experience
Qualified professional Accountant – CPA(K)
A Bachelor degree in business related field
Over 5 years experience in accounting and financial reporting
Good experience as a team leader.
Accounting Software
Good Computer skills in MS Office
