Every year, over 500,000 Kenyans change jobs. Ten percent do so involuntarily. Some get capsized because their employer has downsized, while others are fired because their performance gets mired in errors and terrors.
Today we look at Equity Bank employees who were dismissed unfairly. and we ask the question: did they deserve to get the boot – or not? Equity bank last month sacked over 50 workers. Equity bank top managers decided that it was going to be a pleasant surprise to just summon the affected workers one evening forcing them to write resignation letters and announcing their termination there and then.
